He was a visiting scholar at Komagome Hospital, Tokyo, Japan from 2009 to 2010 and at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York, USA from 2017 to 2018. He has been serving or is serving as a member of the Planning and Steering Committee, Evaluation Committee, and Publication Ethics Committee in the Korean Association of Medical Journal Editors since April 2017. He currently serves as a member of the Academic Committees of the Korean Society of Coloproctology and the Korean Society for Surgical Oncology, respectively. The manager of the review process, Dr. Youn Young Park, has joined the journal since September 2020 as an associate editor. She graduated from Kyung Hee University College of Medicine in 2011 and received PhD (Surgery major) in 2016. She has worked as a surgeon in colorectal division of general surgery department. The ethics editor, Dr. Gyung Mo Son, is a colorectal surgeon and peer-review researcher. Chief colorectal Surgeon and an associate professor in Department of Surgery, Pusan National University School of Medicine, Yangsan, Korea, and Associate Editor of Annals of Coloproctology, the official journal of Korean Society of Coloproctology and Asia-Pacific Federation of Coloproctology (APFCP). The statistics editor, Ms. Suyeon Park, has joined this journal since February 2021. Since 2015, she has been working as a biostatistics consultant at Soonchunhyang University Seoul Hospital and as an IRB member of the Institutional Review Committee of Soonchunhyang University Seoul Hospital. Also, since 2017, she has been working as an adjunct professor at Soonchunhyang University’s Graduate School of Global Business. She received her MS degree in Applied Statistics from Chung-Ang University in 2012, and she has been studying for a PhD degree since 2020. The statistics editor, Hyun Kang, has majored in both medicine and statistics, as well as epidemiology. As a doctor, he majors in anesthesiology. As a statistician and epidemiologists, he has a degree for Bachelor of statistics, Master of epidemiology and Ph. D candidate of epidemiology. He joined Journal of Minimally Invasive Surgery as a statistical editor in 2021.

The editorial coordinator, Ms. Hye-Min Cho, has edited manuscripts of scholarly journals since 2005. In 2009, she founded InfoLumi, a manuscript editing company.
